Film Festival Review

The film festival was great there was a lot of films that were very repetitive and kind of boring. I feel like some of the films showed the most during the previews should not be in the afternoon film festival because it'd take space for other films that haven't screened at all. But overall the audience really liked what we had to show and that was what mattered the most.

This week I realized that with time and the actors that had a tight schedule that was not too flexible i decided to actually film most if my film

This week I got my life together and filmed and edit my music video i will film over the weekend in hopes that i will finish my film so that i can just put everything together and create a film that people can relate to and feel something when they watch it.

Week of April 10

I learned all my songs this week and I'm a little behind schedule to filming but next week i plan to Film, the most important thing was to learn the songs and i got them down. I mixed them properly and i just need to film we should be done in two weeks if the editing is not too complex.

What I Accomplished This Week

This week was pretty successful, although class time isn't really productive since i don't have my violin. But i do try to look up ways to make my songs better and more unique. The biggest accomplishment of this week is that i learned Secrets by One Republic. I've never finished learning a song in such a short period of time. It was definitely not as hard as i thought. i just kept playing the verses and  chorus on a loop, I'm pretty sure my parents aren't very happy for that but in the end when i was done and showed them they were very proud of me. They want my little brother to also play an instrument. This coming up week ill start to film and get a few shots for my film. in addition to the filming i'll also be finishing learning the other songs but i already knew them previously so that'll be done as well. 

What I Accomplished This Week

Firstly, i am doing music video where i will be playing a ensemble of All of Me, Thinking out Loud and Secrets. I'm working with Redani and see if he could play a couple notes for beginning and end beats when my bow resides. This week i have accomplished my sheet music I am currently messing around with garage band to see if i can mix a couple beats together so it won't be too classical on the violin. I am planning on recording the sound over the weekend or if not by tuesday to get my music gong and begin filming the video. The music as well i fixed somethings from the notes that i can reach on the violin. Also, I'm having a little trouble figuring out what my main song is and what I'm going to transition too but my friend had a similar situation and he also plays the drums and is offering to help me so thats what i will do today. 

What Music Means to Me

Music is one of the most sacred things that I think was ever created by mankind. It's not only beautiful but it can also determine your mood and feelings. For example, if you wake up to say your favorite song as an alarm then you probably wont wake up as annoyed and light headed with your annoying clock ringtone. Music is really helpful as-well when i was younger I had terrible coordination. I was so clumsy! I would fall all the time and hurt myself Then when i entered the 4th grade I took these violin classes and they were hard, I wasn't used to sitting straight and holding something over my chin and just using the bow so precise and parallel to the strings, I struggled a lot but since i was able to take my violin home i practiced whenever i got the chance and as i got older and just started reading notes better i realized that i had a lot more coordination. It helped my writing it helped my eyesight and it helped my posture. I can't give all the credit to the violin because my mom would help me if she ever caught me from getting distractions, but i did fall in love with the sound of the violin. The softness that comes from the E to the boldness from the G. It's one of my favorite hobbies and i think music to me means just being able to learn new things and just do whatever you feel will sound right or feel good on an instrument. It's one of the first introductions to music and it will always be one of my favorites.
